I recieved a rubber plant about 2 months ago. It arrived in the standard black container in a wicker pot. The bottom of the wicker pot has gotten wet and is starting to mold or rot. Will taking it out of the wicker pot be enough to save it or should it be replanted in a new pot entirely?

It sounds, from the fact that the outside pot has been staying so wet, that the plant has also been getting too much water. When you water, soak the pot well, then wait to water again until the top inch or so of the soil has dried. This watering regime should help. Derek

I have a mature rubber plant that is now losing leaves - turning yellow and dropping from the middle of the stalk - too much water? Any way to help it? Thanks,
