Hi, my daughter bought me a hibiscus tree for mother's day. After a rough start, it has come back, and is now forming many new buds. Question? Well, I water it very well, soak right to the bottom root system, and then allow to dry out as I see you talk about. However, now the leaves are starting to turn yellow, how come? I keep it on my covered porch, with diffused light, no direct light, and yet the leaves are still turning yellow. Help!

I would appreciate your input.

Thanks

Judy

My children bought me a hibiscus tree for Mother's Day in 2004. We kept it outdoors until September, then brought it indoors. It was infested with some type of bug which caused all the leaves to fall off. We sprayed it with insecticide and picked off all kinds of little black things that were attached to the branches and within a week, there was new growth all over it. It lasted through most of the winter, however it did not flower. I found out later that it loves sunlight, so in the spring, when it had lost all it's leaves again, I put it outside, in full sun, and I keep the roots moist all the time. There hasn't been 1 leaf on it in about 2 months. I appears that the middle branches are dead, but the outer branches are alive. How do I fix my tree??? Should I prune it all the way down?? Please help.
Thanks,
tommy
