Something very strange is happening to my snake plant. It hasn't done this before, I am pretty sure. There is a long, tall stem coming from the center of the plant, with little buds and honeydew dripping from it/could it be a stamen? Please let me know what is going on. Thank you.

Your snake plant is flowering, so it must be very happy! I think they flower when the mood strikes them. Mine sometimes will skip a year or two, then flower. The flowers are small, but their scent is wonderful!
