I'm trying to revive a Poinisttia, It has slowly gotten worse ,and loosing it's leaves, I took off a stem and tried to re-root it but it just dies, Any advice you could give me to try to save this plant would be very helpfull. Thank you for your time Shirley

Shirley, I hate to be the one to say this to you, but you would be much better giving the old plant a decent burial than trying to revive it at this time of year. To have color at Christmas the plants should have been pinched twice by now and be full and bushy, ready to start the dark treatment that is needed to bring them into color. It just isn't worth the bother for a home gardener even if you kept the plant healthy all through spring and summer. Please don't feel guilty - give up now, and buy new ones for the holiday which you think of as bunches of flowers in pots and put into the compost when they season is over. Derek
