Daylillies are dying at a fast pace. The entire clumps are just dying down to nothing. HELP>

It's fall! Calm down, It's just time for your plants to rest for the winter. Due to the drought we have been having in the northeast, lots of plants have gone dormant early this year. Make sure they have a mulch cover for the winter and you will do fine.

HI: I was asked to reply to your message regarding the dead daylillies from my 80 year friend who has been growing daylillies for years and this is the first year that the entire plant down into the ground is dead and they began this about two months ago. Any more suggestions. Stella

It could be a pest problem, if not a soil problem.
