I was given a small sago palm, and I keep it in my dorm. I water it and give it sunlight, but it still doesn't seem to be doing well. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong or give me any suggestions? Thanks.

Sego palms are extermely slow growers. They usually produce only one leaf a year. I grow mine outdoors in the summer and it spends the winter indoors. I keep it on the dry side during the late fall/ winter months. My plant gave me one new leaf in July. Sounds like your doing everything right, they're just really slow growers.
