I have three plants in my living room. Two of them are nice size Christmans cactus's. I have these little black nats that are accumulating around the plants. I now see them flying all over the house and on my counters. I would like to know how to get rid of these little black flying bugs, but not hurt my plants or have to get rid of them.

the gnats wont hurt anything but they are annoying as hell huh.. its their larva that does the damage. they can damage the roots. spray insecticide every day for approx 5-6 days and that will kill them and the larva and will stop the cycle. and like susan said let the soil dry out.
