Is there a way to tell if your plant has root rot? and if so, is there any way to correct it? Ive tried other ides from another site. Thank you very much for any help & have a blessed day.

If a plant has root rot, stems nearest the soil line can start to feel soft and mushy, the leaves droop, or the whole plant, leaves yellow or turn black, you can have rapid leaf loss.

You can take the plant out of the pot and examine the root-ball, look for any signs of rot, roots will appear brown and mushy. If it's just some roots, cut them off and let the soil dry out more between waterings, or set the rootball on a stack of newspapers which will help absorb water.

Peace lilies like semi moist soil, not wet or dried out. Water after the top inch, or a couple inches feel very close to dry.

If it's all or most of the roots that are effected, the plant will not survive.
