we had our first freeze early this year and have always wrapped our 30 year old jade with blankets and plankets (insulation wraps for plants). however, this time it did not fare well and looks to have frost bite on most of it. we brought it inside and placed by a sunny window and watered with seaweed. its been two days and the leaves look worse- is there anything else we can do to try to save it?
many thanks, annie

Just keep it warm and in the right light. As long as the roots were not damaged by frost and the main stem and branches are still firm and not soft, it should bounce back in time. Wait for new growth, then make any nessasary pruning. Pruning now might not be a good idea.

we started pruning some of the small branches because they were soft and were concerned it would spread. there are some larger branches that are turning soft on one of the smaller trunks...should we wait to see if it spreads? otherwise, it is looking better! thanks so much for your input! annie
