Hi: I got this plant last year it has only flowered one time. It wants to grow straight up, I want it to get bigger do I cut the tall middle out of it to make it grow bushier or what also I is turning a little yellow I do not water it to much I use a self waterer and fill it when dry. I just got thru takeing off all the dried up leaves and now it looks bare. Thank you for your time and please respond soon as it really looks sad. Ireta.

It would be better in the spring to take cuttings, something I will be doing myself with mine come spring. Cut it back to just above a lateral or side branch. You can also cut that if it's long enough into several stem cuttings, make sure you wipe the ends with a wet or moist paper towel to control the white sap. Also, the thinner stems either growing from the soil or the side stems will root pretty quickly to help make a fuller pot as well.

Let the ends callus over good for a couple days or so, then you can plant the cuttings back into the same pot to make it appear fuller right away, or, root them in all in another pot that's small and shallow before re-planting back into the original pot or make several extra plants.

Keep plant on the root-bound side and make sure it's getting sufficient light during the day.
These plants can flower on and off all year long with the right care, mine has a few opened flowers on it now.
