Dear plant care

I have a new large ficus plant (about 4feet tall) in my home.

The fig is in a warm bright room but out of direct sunlight and drafts.
I have been watering it weekly about a pint at a time.

The problem is although the plant looks healthy all the leaves are fallng off.

Could you please give me some advice as to why this may be.

Many thanks
Olivia

Ficus are known for dropping their leaves when moved to another location, especially if the light and humidity is lower. Let it get adjusted (takes time) and new leaves should grow back. You might see leaf some drop for a few months on and off. In short, it needs to grow thinner leaves to survive lower light. Give it bright indirect light with a little sun during the day. Don't fertilize, it's obviously stressed now, or in the winter months. wait for lots of new growth in the warmer spring/summer months before feeding and then use only half strength now and then. You may also have to some pruning then also.
