Make sure your yucca is getting some direct sun during the day and has no pest and your only watering it thoroughly when it's had a chance to dry out first. Hard-water use might be causing the brown tips as well an over-feeding, letting the soil stay dry for too long, or keeping it too wet.

My yukka house plant suffered a mis-hap about a year when its pot was kicked over. Since then, some leaves died and it has become very top heavy. It is pretty healthy, but its two stalks are bent over and I have had to suspend it from the wall! I heard you can cut the stalks and they will grow again. Is this true? If so, are there any special measures I need to consider?

I love my plant and I'd love to be able to crop it to make it more beautiful. Would it be advisable to cut one stalk at a time and then let it grow again before cutting the other?

Thanks.
