Hello
Poinsettia is a tropical plant native to Mexico. You could grow it outside during the summer when temps are well into the 50s at night. Grow it in a pot and leave it outside in an area that is totally dark at night to initiate blooms. Bring the plant back in the fall when temps drop below 50 and keep it in a bright area where it gets watered when dry. Continue the light dark treatment giving the plant at least 12 hours of UNITNTERUPTED Dark to initiate blooms, cover it with a towel at night to assist in this. By xmas u shoukl dhave a nice plant. If you keep doing this every year you will eventually get a poinsettia tree with breathtaking displays every winter.
