Hello, I was just wondering what is the best plant at producing oxygen and/or what is the best plant to purify the air with. Thanks

Although all plants are capable of removing toxins from the air, research by NASA showed that some house plants are more better in filtering out toxins and purifying the air than others. Philodendrons, Spider plants, and Pothos were found to be the most efficient in the removal of formaldehyde. Gerbera Daisies and Chrysanthemums were found to be effective in the removal of benzene, a known carcinogen.

The more vigorous the plant, the more air it can filter. Plants HOWEVER will not do much to get rid OF tobacco smoke or dust in the air.
