Is my plant dead? Options

When i was gone at work our new cat did something to my favorite plant and when i came home i noticed that most of the stems were bent, like they had been laid on.i tried to hold them upright again with strings but it doesnt seem to be helping. is there anyway to save my favorite plant or ..... should i toss it? please help, looking at it this way makes me very sad.

Caitlin,
What kind of plant is it? Some plants will benefit from pruning them back to the soil and letting them grow back in. Provided you can keep kitty out of it! :) I have kittens, and I keep a spray bottle of water at hand, and give them a shot anytime they start on my plants.
Also, I've heard that if you give them their own plant, one of those "grass" bowls, it might help to keep them out of your other plants. Haven't tried it myself yet, but am going to
