I have a desert rose that I brought inside just before Christmas, (it was getting below 40 in this area of Florida). I placed it in front of a window in a back bedroom and watered it a bit each week. I think I overdid it. When I went to return it outside I found that the limbs were no longer firm but soft. When cutting into them they were brown in color. The base seemes to still have a firmness but I hesitate to cut into it to see. What should I do now to save this once beautiful plant.(For age it is about three inches across in its twirled base and about three feet tall.) Is all hope lost? Any advice you may render will be greatly appreciated as it was a gift from someone that means very much to me. Thank-you Charla
