I was watering my plants and moveing the soil are with my fingers and noticed tiny, tiny white worms. Do I need to throw my plants away. I have had my plants for a long time and would hate to get rid of them, but its completely grossing me out!! And theres no way I could pick them out by hand!! Thanks for your time. Alicia

I think that these are probably the young stages of little black flies. Try letting the soil surface dry out well between waterings. That should get rid of them. The archives should have a lot of other remadies if you enter 'Fungus gnats'. derek
