My plant was taken on a 8 hour car ride in semi cold weather, It has been staying at my moms for a period of time. I think it has pests, the leaves are begining to become sort of spotted and are falling off. ai have already cut it back was this a good thing? And will these pests infect my other plants? Thank you for your time.

Your ficus might not have pest at all but the cool car ride might have made it cranky. If it does have a pest problem, maybe spidermites or scale or something else, yes, they can infest other plants, so keep them apart for now to be safe.

Ficus are sensitive to changes, especially being moved where it experiences a light change. I would wait to cut it back any further now and do some heavier pruning if needed after you start to see lot's of new growth. Your tree can sulk for a few weeks up to a few months, dropping brown dried leaves, green and/or yellow ones.

Water well after the top inch or two dries.
Give it bright indirect light with a little bit of direct sun, turn it weekly but don't move it to another location once you found the perfect spot.In time and with the right care, you should see some new leaves.

Don't feed until it's growing lots of new leaves in the spring and summer months only, and then only half strength or less.
