Hello,

I have this plant that was given to me and they said it was Swedish Ivy. I went online to look for care and the picture did not look like my plant. My plant is green leaves with purple on the underside of the leaves. It grows very full and grapevine-like. Does this sound like swedish ivy? I'm not sure how to care for this plant. Does it go inside or outside? How often do I water it? Are there certain pests/bugs that like to eat this plant? Your comments are appreciated.

Thanks,
Keri

Your plant sounds more like Purple Knight (Altermanthera}. They do really well in loose soil, evenly moist, with very light but not Bright sun. Swedish Ivy is green, flat-leafed,with slightly ruffled edges. They grow easily and look beautiful with their long draping growth. It likes to be dry to the touch, about an inch deep, before a good watering. The less you bother it, except for music and converssation, the happier it is.
I am NO plant expert, you just happened to ask about plants I'm familiar with. Hope you have some luck.

(I killed a couple before I got the hang of it.)
