I have an indoor tree. I dont know what its genus is. it has about a dozen skinny trunks with palm tree like texture, and long skinny green oval shaped vegetation. the plant stands about eight feet tall. it has become drooped and browner since coming to my apartment. i want to save it no matter what has to be done. IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU COULD HELP. THANK YOU

If you could post a picture, that would be helpful. Plants need to be kept away from heating and cooling vents. Blasts of hot or cold air can cause leaves to fall off. You can also check for any kind of infestation. You can look for small bugs their webbing/nesting, or any kind of discoloration the bugs might leave behind. Plants can become diseased as well as infested. A very effective way to kill bugs and their eggs is by spraying the plant with a simple soap and water mixture. But be sure not to leave soap in the soil, as soap will kill the plant, starting at the roots. You could mix soap and water, put them in a spray bottle, and then rinse the plant thoroughly when you have finished. Good luck.
