I have a problem regarding one of my plants. It was given to me about 1994.

Since then it has grown and blosumed quite a lot. I'm not sure what the name of this plant is, but it has been suggested it may be a "Hawiian Wax Leaf".

It is still in its original pot...about 2 1/2 inch. (I was told it likes to be root bound and will not blosum untill it is.)
I have a new pot for it, but I wonder about trimming it back. It is a vine, and I do not want to kill it or cause it to grow ugly.

I have pictures, but have been unable to download them to this Message.
If anyone can help, I really would appreciate it.
