Hi all, I am new to the site, just recently got interested in plants, I have a few that I need to identify so look for me in another section. It would help at the stores if the would put the name instead of "tropical" "succulent" etc. lol.

Hello. I, too am new to this site. I just started planting a bunch of pots on my lanai. They were all .88 to 3.00 at Walmart. But I have to say that they look lovely. I moved to Florida from Ohio. I have never really had time to garden. But I am retired and thought I'd give it a try. Most of the plants I bought were not named. So I am in the dark too. I noticed there were names on the receipt...but I lost it! Oh well, I'll do the best I can right?

Hi Riley! WOW you are starting off with a lot of plants!!! I read your other post as well.
I curremtly have 7. I wrote another post for someone to tell me what they are but no one seems to know, or they just think I'm an idiot lol. Most of the plants I bought did not say their name, just say tropical or succulent etc. I've gotten some from Lowes, menards and walmart. I have killed a couple neanthe bella plants, I had brought one home from Florida, thought it needed sun, but I was wrong lol. Then got another still thought it needed sun and just killed it but I kept it for 2 years. Yay. I had a philodendron, I am going to get that one back from my friend, I had given it to her because I learned that it was poisonous to pets and my dog was just a pup, wasn't sure if he would eat it or not. I also have tried planting Hydrangea, that didn't grow lol, and now I have a sampling of petunias and coleus.
Nice to meet you.
Tasha.
