I am new to this plant thing, I enjoy it very much but I can kill most anything, I also don't know what some of them are. I live in North Dakota, but I purchased some succulents here and in Phoenix. One is aloe I know, one is a jade plant, One is a hen and chicks, not sure about the smaller one in with the aloe and jade plant though. I also have what is possibly a corn plant? It just said tropical. Then outside I have what my friend thinks is a wandering jew, must have been planted over 5 years ago when my MIL was still alive and living here but this is the first year it popped up since, we sprayed that little garden with weed killer last year, I just thought it was another weed for awhile but I thought it was interesting so I left it alone, the same with a rose? I never knew it was there until this year, only one flower so far but if it is a rose it doesn't look like a typical one. My succulents and ?corn plant? I repotted in a mix of regular soil and cactus soil (not sand) and water the succulents only when they are very dry (at least dry to the 2nd knuckle of my finger lol) and then I will water till it comes out the bottom a little. I put them outside most everyday as I do not get much light in the house.
As for the ?wandering jew? whatever it is, I need to spray that section with weed killer again, is there a way to do this without killing the plant or is it possible for me to put it in a pot and bring it inside? (I did do that with a wild fern that was there, it worked well until I was gone for 2 months and didn't have anyone look after it. ooops.)below are the pics at photobucket, not sure how to do this so u may have to copy and paste.
