I was just wondering if I could use flower food for roses on my house plant? I'm not sure what kind of plant it is other than it's considered tropical. Is there any harm in using certain flower foods on unspecified plants?

It could damage the roots of the plant if the nitrogen level is too high. Many types of fertilizers for houseplants recommend certian varieties to be used in 1/2 to 1/4 of the regular dosage. It is best to only use the recommended fetilizers in their recommended specified amount.
