there are cockroaches and tiny black flies in my apartment. my landlord gave me a box of "Hot Shot Fogger" insecticide (the kind that comes in canisters; you twist them open and leave home for a couple hours while they fog up the house). i am wondering if this is safe for my plants-- i have about 20 of varying sizes and shapes. the black flies most likely came with one of the plants, so if i take them outside while i fog, they might not be killed. but i don't want to kill my plants.
the box and the fogger website are not helpful; does anyone know if it is safe for plants?
thank you!

If the fogger doesn't say anything about houseplants, I wouldn't risk using the fogger because that means it isn't intended for use on houseplants and could kill them. If you have bugs on your houseplant, I would recommend a bug killer specifically for houseplants which can be picked up at your local nursery center.
