The conversation with the sales person went something like this:

ME: "What kind of plant is it?"
SP: "It's a palm."
ME: "OK...(pause)... What KIND of palm?"
SP: "Just a palm."
ME: "Wonderful! So when it starts sprouting coconuts in a couple of years I"ll be sure to bring you one, or maybe some dates, or maybe both! After all there's apparently only one kind of palm in the world."
(OK, I didn't say that, but I wanted to.)
Help please! I did some research but I'm still not sure. A Kentia maybe?

It is most likely a either a Howea belmoreana (Sentry Palm) or a Howea forsteriana (Kentia Palm). At this stage of development they both look very similar but as the develop the Howea belmoreana (Sentry Palm) will have leaf that tends to point more in a upright direction while a Howea forsteriana (Kentia Palm) will have a more arched leaf that points outwards or slightly down.
