hello! i have come to you for help. my medium sized house plants are slowly losing thier leaves, one at a time from the bottom up. the leaves become dry and then fall off, and i am left to mourn their loss. i know not what to do - water more or less? change their location? dare i repot? i must be doing something wrong. three different types of plant in three different spots in my home have been stricken by this malady. i fear that soon i will have no plants left. can nothing be done? will no one hear my anguished plea and help me save this once proud flora?

Robert,
I almost hate to help you with your dilemma, as your prosaic plea is so entertaining. But, alas, my plant-preservation instincts override and call me to answer. First, can you tell me anything about your distressed threesome? Do you have any idea what dying plants you have? I beg you, give me some sort of description other than "medium-sized"
