I have a indoor plant which i think is a ponytail palm or yucka type thing and all the leaves at the top started to dry up and die. I pushed the tan bark away at the soil and found millions of tiny little brown bugs all over the soild. I dont know if the two things are realated or what i can do to fix either of them. Any suggestions?

The bugs may be plant lice and they could be eating the root system. Usually a very mild solution of pesticide will take care of the problem. You probably should use this outside and after the application, thoroughly flush out the soil with lots of water. If you are worried about the chemicals, there are some natural pesticides as well as other natural alternatives to bugs, but I'm not sure what they are. Is the soil constantly soaked? This may be attracting the bugs.
If you use the pesticide and it doesn't work, try a little bit stronger solution. You want to be careful though, you could harm your plant. This is not a process you want to use often because using mild pesticide over and over again will allow the bugs to build up immunity to it. Hope this helps!
