I have a corn plant (Dracaena fragrans Massangeana) that thrived on my desk in a west window until it outgrew my office. It moved to my home to a South-west corner with a window on each side. It has been repotted at least 3 times and had done well - it is now 5 feet tall. During the winter, I realized that it was too near my heat vent and was turning brown. I moved it to the opposing wall of the corner - same light, just no heat register and it is still doing poorly. My leaves are turning very brown and brittle and it looks scraggly. My soil drains well and I fertizize once a month. After working together for 2 years and dominating my living room corner, I have grown attached to this plant and would welcome any suggestions to nurse it back to health.

Is there any chance you can rest it outside in a shady area. You can also cut it back to any size.
