I am new here, new to forums altogether, but do hope to find some good advice. With great excitement and anticipation I purchased two beautiful gardenia plants that were covered with buds. The pots they came in had no drainage and the plants were root bound but I was hesitant to repot because they were in the flowering stage. I had one blossom open and for several days my olfactory and heart were filled with delight. Then the buds that remained began turning yellow and dropping off. I repotted one hoping that this would eleviate the problem, but to no avail. The plants get medium light, western exposure and I have tried different watering and the condition remains. Any suggestions?
