I have three tall Dracaena Marginatas together in a 15" pot. I wanted to get a ground covering for them, Creeping Fig was recommended to me. So I planted a couple, along with some nice stones. Now I've just read that Creeping Fig can be harmful to wood structures and am worried that it'll hurt my Dracaena. They look really nice together, but if they're not compatible, I'd like to get the vines out now before they really take root. Does anyone know if the vines will damage the larger plant?

Is the creeping fig hottentot? If so, I can't see any reason why it would damage the dracaena. The roots of the fig are usually pretty shallow, because it's a succulent plant, and quite a lot of gardens have it as groundcover around the base of plants. So it should work in a pot.
Best advice is to keep a good eye on the plants. The minute the dracaena start to look unhappy, take the fig out. Other than that, I wouldn't worry. And definitely don't believe all you read. :)

I think doing harm to wood structures means growing on a wooden housewall not on a plant.
