I inherited this plant and I don't know what it is. I think it is from the croton family but from what I have heard they are toxic and this one doesn't seem to be. I say that because my mother had it before I got it and when I lived with her I raised puppies for a service dog training facility. During that time every single one of the puppies I raised, at some point or another, got a hold of the leaves of the plant. I don't remember any of them going back for seconds but none of them were seriously harmed by it.
What I need to know though is what it is? How to replant it? or how to get a cutting to make a new one? Even though it is not a large plant, only about 25-30 inches tall, it really is too large for my appartment.

the link may not work though unless you copy and paste it into your browser.
Thank you for any help you can give.

Thank you, the more I look online the more certain I am that that's what it is. Now I am trying to learn as much as I can about it. I keep thinking I need to do something with it though.
