I have a "lucky bamboo" plant, It came with rings tied on with twist ties that I think may have caused root rot. If anyone has any advice for me on how to tell if it has root rot, or what to do if it does have root rot, please let me know.
thanks.

Do you keep the plant in soil or water? Because if you only keep it in water, the plant's roots will eventually rot over time because the roots can't get enough oxygen. I think even if you keep it in pebbles and water the roots will still rot because there is too much water in the pot. Most of these plants are sold in pots filled with water and pebbles (or just water) which is odd considering the plant can't survive that long that way.

This could be the reason why your plant has root rot.
