Hi!
I am new to this forum. I just have some questions about the plants in the apartment I have moved into. I don't know anything about plants.
There is this huge palm in the apt. I think it is a Kentia. It is over 2 metres tall. 7.5ft. It has been doing great all through the summer. Very healthy seeming. I first noticed a problem about 2-3 weeks ago.
There are at least two distinct forms of death happening
- the spotting, and localised patchy kind of brown, dryness, on the leaves
- and then there is the even, gradual browning over a large area at once.
I will post some pics to illustrate what is happening...
evenly browning:
(the leaves +frond are steadily turning from green to brown)

Spotty, localised brown dryness:
(lower down the plant. this is the worst of it)

and the whole plant.

See the evenly browning leaves in the top left of this pic.
The leaves featured in the other pic can be seen to the far right of this picture in the middle.
It seems to be spreading nearly day by day. Or else I'm noticing more of it. Its all over.
Can anybody tell me what I have done to it?
Any advice at all would be much appreciated..
Thanks!
EDIT: I realised earlier that the plant is actually three plants - the largest fronds are part of a very large shoot, and there are 2 other smaller plants which are the source of the smaller leaves, and most of the lower ones.
