I'm a new plant owner, so I'm pretty new at this! I live in a college dorm and have a growing collection of succuluents and cacti.
I bought a Hawthoria attenuata about two months ago. It was fairly unhealthy when I bought it (it was my first plant, so I wasn't picky). It hasn't gotten worse, but it hasn't gotten better, either.
My main concern is that the leaves are bunched together instead of spread out, and that the base of some of the leaves are dead. The leaves are also fairly flexible, but I'm not sure if this is normal or not.
I checked for root rot last night and there was none that I could see. I water it about every 3 weeks, when the soil is fully dry and I have been using Schultz cactus food. The soil is cactus soil.
Is there anything I should be doing? Should I remove the leaves with dead bases?
As I said, I'm new to this!
