Hi,

I have been trying to find the name of this plant for months and can't figure it out for the life of me. Since I bought it, it's leaves have started to droop and I'd love nothing more than to know what it is and how to care for it. Below is a description of the plant as well as a link to a picture

Plant:
tall stalk
leaves start rolled up and come from the center of the stalk (not like a traditional rubber tree with the red stem- these are literally curled up leaves that open up.)
the new leaves are a bright solid green
the mature leaves are multicolored with medium and dark green
mature leaves are about 12-15" long, they are very thin and a little floppy (not sure if that's from inadequate care...)
the leaves are solid in shape, not like a palm

Please copy and past this link- clicking on it directly doesn't work:

Please help! i love this plant and want nothing more for this guy to flourish!

Thanks for reading!

Not sure if anyone has suggested a Z-Z plant, but you've described mine perfectly! My husband brought home abour 6 of these from the office (these beautiful plants were being changed out by the new management). We haven't found out a lot of information about them, but here is what I do know: they are NOT outdoor plants; they like to be on the really dry side, so we water once a month with 16-oz of water; they do better in a room with lots of outdoor/natural light. Hope this helps! -Senta
