I just bought a plant, they told me the name was spiderwort, but when I looked up information it looked nothing like a spiderwort. I'm not sure how to describe it, it looks tropical, with dark purple leaves, no flowers, the leaves are between three and five inches long, smooth and oval shaped with a pointed tip. If anyone can help that would be great. I could email someone a picture if they think they may have an Idea of what it might be. Thanks for your help!

Taking a guess here... maybe Moses-in-the-Cradle (Tradescantia spathacea) - to the best of my knowledge, it fits your description, and the genus Tradescantia is called 'Spiderworts'.
