What in gods name is this? i'll try to help any flowers on it before? describe the look of the plant when it was possibly more healthy?

That's Chlorophytum orchidastrum - or Chlorophytum 'Green Orange' or Chlorophytum 'Fire Flash' - everyone seems to say something different. In any case, it's related to the humble Spider Plant.
Personally, I think it's a really cute plant.
