I live in an area that was once swamp/forest land. We have a "green" barrier that is in the back yard that is over grown with many different types of plants. How would one suggest the best way to go about identifying each different species in order to determine whether or not to keep it and train it or remove it (because there are many invasive species in our area). I'm less than a novice gardener. Any directional help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

If you go out with a digital camera and take individual plant pics and post them here.. everyone can view the pics and take a poke at identifying them for you. Those with experience with the plants may even offer suggestions.

Happy photographing!
