This plant grows at the edge of a wooded wild area. What is it? A weed or soemething that can be transplanted? I live in central Iowa.

Does the plant bloom? What color is the bloom? Is it in shade, sun or any other information of it's location (such as wet location).

I most likely can help with some more info.

I haven't seen any blooms yet. It grows in the shade of several tall trees. The soil is pretty well drained and loamy.

Huh. Now that's one plant I've never seen... can't place it at all.

This mystery plant would look nice together in a group of clusters together, white variegated leaves underneath and white puff's on the top.

Sorry it took so long to reply but I finally found an answer. The plant is Hydrophyllum L, more commonly known as spotted Waterleaf.
The whitish mottling that the leaves often have that look like water stains or from water that is held in the unfurling leaves in the spring.
